Ingredients
Ingredient association involves the following steps:
- Create Ingredient Item
- Associate the ingredients under food item variation
Create Ingredient Item
- The Create Item pop-up opens, fill in the details and save. After that, Press Add Variation, Select the type as Ingredient - To indicate the item is an ingredient.
- After creating the Item Variation, inventory is added. If you have queries in item creation, please check the Item library help document.
Associate the ingredients under food item variation
- After creating ingredient item, we need to associate the ingredient item under the food item variations. For example, associate the Cheese under Barbecue Chicken Pizza
Backend → Items → Item Library → View Items → Inventory → Ingredients / Recipe tab → Add Ingredients / Recipe button.
- The pop opens, Select the type as Ingredients, select the item variation (Ingredient items are listed in this dropdown)
- Enter the Quantity, Select the unit of measurement from the dropdown, and Click Save. For example, To make 1 pizza, 15 gram cheese is used. Then enter the quantity as 15 and select the UOM as Gram(g).
Recipe
Recipe association involves the following steps:
- Create Recipe Item
- Associate the ingredients under the recipe
- Associate the recipe under food item variation
Create Recipe Item
- The Create Item pop-up opens, fill in the details and save. After that, Press Add Variation, Select the type as **Recipe ** - To indicate the item is a recipe.
- After creating the Item Variation, inventory is added. If you have queries in item creation, please check the Item library help document.
Associate the ingredients under the recipe
- After creating recipe item, we need to associate the ingredient item under the recipe. For example, associate the Chopped Tomato under Tomato Sauce
Backend → Items → Item Library → View Recipe Item → Inventory → Ingredients tab → Add Ingredients button.
- The pop opens, Select the item variation (Ingredient items are listed in this dropdown), Enter the Quantity, Select the unit of measurement from the dropdown, and Click Save.
- For example, To make 1l Tomato Sauce, 2 KG chopped tomatoes are used. Then enter the quantity as 2 and select the UOM as Kilogram (kg).
Associate the recipe under food item variation
- After completing the associative process of ingredients with recipe item, we need to associate the recipe item under the food item variations. For example, associate the Tomato Sauce under Barbecue Chicken Pizza
Backend → Items → Item Library → View Items → Inventory → Ingredients / Recipe tab → Add Ingredients / Recipe button.
- The pop opens, Select the type as Recipe, select the item variation (Recipe items are listed in this dropdown) Click Save.
Import
We could update the Ingredients / Recipe with the use of item sheet. Refer Import Item Ingredient Update help document
