TYPES OF CHARGES



Delivery Charges: This is the charge for delivering the order to the customer location. This charge applies only for Online Sales. It can either be a fixed amount (or) a percentage of the total/subtotal.

Payment Charges: This is the charge for businesses that accepts online payments. If a customer pays less than $10 or greater than $10000 through online, then this charge will apply automatically in online. This charge applies only for Online Sales. It can either be a fixed amount (or) a percentage of the total/subtotal.

Order packing Charges: This is the charge for packing the order for delivery. Box, spoons, paper towels, etc., fall under these charges. This charge applies only for Online Sales. It can either be a fixed amount (or) a percentage of the total/subtotal.

Custom Charges: This is the manual charge for POS Frontend. It can either be a fixed amount (or) a percentage of the total/subtotal.

1. Delivery Charges



Example: Create a fixed delivery charge of $10. Condition: Additional Delivery Cost $5 per Km.

Click on Create Charge



Fill the following Fields

Name: Delivery Charges

Category: Choose Delivery Charges from the dropdown menu

Value: 40

Type: Fixed/Percentage (Fixed in this scenario)

Taxes: Choose ‘Taxes’ from the dropdown menu (If applicable)

Locations: Select the location from the dropdown

Base Delivery Distance (in meters): 1000

Additional Delivery Cost (per km): 10

Now click on the “ADD” button


Click Save


Once the customer selects ‘Checkout’ in the online store you can see that the delivery charge is reflected in the checkout column as shown below:



2. Payment Charges



Example: Create a fixed Payment Charges of $2 for orders. Condition: Subtotal value is less than $10.

Click on Create Charge. Fill the following Fields

Name: Payment Charges

Category: Choose Payment Charges from the dropdown menu

Value: 2

Type: Fixed/Percentage (Fixed in this scenario)

Taxes: Choose ‘Taxes’ from the dropdown menu (If applicable)

Locations: Select the location from the dropdown

Criteria: Choose Greater than/less than from the dropdown (less than in this scenario)

Order Price: 10

Validate On (Order Subtotal/ Total): Choose Subtotal/Total from the dropdown

Now click on the “ADD” button



Click Save



Once the customer selects ‘Checkout’ in the online store you can see that the delivery charge is reflected in the checkout column as shown below:



3. Order Packing Charge



Example: Create a fixed Order Packing charge: $5 Condition: Subtotal value is greater than $200.

Click on Create Charge. Fill the following Fields

Name: Packing Charges

Category: Choose Order Packing Charges from the dropdown menu

Value: 5

Type: Fixed/Percentage (Fixed in this scenario)

Taxes: Choose ‘Taxes’ from the dropdown menu (If applicable)

Locations: Select the location from the dropdown

Criteria: Choose Greater than/less than from the dropdown (Greater than in this scenario)

Order Price: 200

Validate On (Order Subtotal/ Total): Choose Subtotal/Total from the dropdown

Now click on the “ADD” button



Click Save



Once the customer selects ‘Checkout’ in the online store you can see that the delivery charge is reflected in the checkout column as shown below:



4. Custom Charge



Example 1: Create a fixed AC charge $2 for sale transactions

Click on Create Charge. Fill the following Fields

Name: AC Charge

Category: Choose Custom Charges from the dropdown menu

Value: 2

Type: Fixed/Percentage (Fixed in this scenario)

Taxes: Choose ‘Taxes’ from the dropdown menu (If applicable)

Locations: Select the location from the dropdown



Click Save

Once you have created the custom charges, please do force sync in POS front-end. You can add the charges manually in POS Frontend as shown below:







Example 2: Create a Handling charge 2% for Purchase orders

Click on Create Charge. Fill the following Fields

Name: Handling Charge

Category: Choose Custom Charges from the dropdown menu

Value: 2

Type: Fixed/Percentage (Percentage in this scenario)

Taxes: Choose ‘Taxes’ from the dropdown menu (If applicable)

Locations: Select the location from the dropdown



Click Save

Once you have created the custom charges, please add the charges manually in POS Bactend → Inventory management → Purchase Order → Create PO as shown below:
