Attribute-Based Search Filter

We are excited to announce a new search functionality that enhances the way merchants find items in the POS Frontend. This feature allows you to quickly and efficiently search for products using attributes mapped to each item.

For Instance, Let’s say you’re managing a textile shop and want to quickly find specific items based on size and color. With the new attribute-based search functionality, this is now easier than ever.

Finding a Specific Jeans in the Right Size and Color

Filter by Size:

You’re looking for a Jeans of size XL. In the Filter option you can enter " XL Size " to filter all available pants in XL size.

Filter by Color:

If you want to narrow it further by color. Entering Grey will filter out results only Grey Jeans with XL Size" across all brands making it easy to locate the item without scrolling .

Setting Up Attribute in POS Backend:

Create item variation. please refer help document for Item creation

Create the attribute such as color (e.g., Red, Green, Yellow) and size (e.g., S, M, L, XL) etc.

POS Backend --> Items --> View (Item) ---> Attribute

Setting Up Attributes in Bulk:

If you need to assign attributes like size and color to multiple items, you can do so efficiently using a bulk upload process.

POS Backend --> Upload/Import Files ---> Download Samples --> Item Variation Attribute

Explore Attribute Setup in POS

Once the attribute setup is complete, please follow these steps to narrow down the items using filter option.

Step 1: Navigate to the Sell tab

Open the Item listing page where the Filter by Attribute option is available.

Step 2: Apply Attribute Filters

Select attributes from Size (e.g., M, L, XL../ 28,30,32,36...) or Color (e.g., Grey, Red, Green, Yellow,..) in the popup.

Step 3: Multiple Attribute Combinations

Experiment with various combinations of size and colors to narrow down your search results.

Note: Attribute multi-select option is available both within a single attribute group (Size or Color) and across multiple attribute groups (Size & Color).

Step 4: Display Search Result:

Check the search result and choose the expected items as quick and easy.
