We are excited to announce that we have implemented new features and made improvements to existing ones in our PosBytz software. This release includes a number of new features, improvements, and bug fixes, all designed to enhance your experience with our application.

Here are the highlights of the new features:

Discount Type - Cheapest



We are excited to announce the introduction of a new discount feature, Cheapest, designed to provide greater flexibility and savings for your customers. This feature allows you to automatically apply a discount to the lowest-priced item in a transaction when enabled.

Whether you are running a special promotion or looking to enhance customer satisfaction, this feature offers a unique way to increase value while maintaining simplicity.

How to create the cheapest discount for our account?



Example: Buy 2 Get 1 Free

Let's say,

Item A = INR 100
Item B = INR 200
Item C = INR 50

When the above three items are added to the cart the Item C will be given 100% discount.

Please follow the below steps to create cheapest discount type,

Step 1: Create Cheapest Discount


Navigation: POS Admin (Backend) → Items → Discount → Create Discount



Enter the discount Name, Select the Location its applied on.
Enable Is POS Billing and Apply Automatically



Step 2: Buy Criteria


In buy criteria choose type Cheapest and Click Add Category



Fill in the requested details,

Category - Choose the category on which this discount should be applied.
Prerequisite value - Enter the minimum value required for the discount to be applied.

For example, we have selected the category Breakfast Cereals , type quantity and the prerequisite value as 3, by means the discount will be applied only when 3 qty of any item from breakfast cereals is added to the cart.



Step 3: Get Criteria


Choose the type Category and the click Add Category



Fill the requested details,

Category - Choose the category which was chosen on buy criteria
Select Discount Type - Fixed or Percentage
Enter Get Discount Value - Enter the discount value based on type chosen
Enter Max Discount Quantity - Enter the maximum time this discount should be applied on a single sale

For example, in the below image we have chosen the category as breakfast cereal, with discount type percentage, the discount value is 100 and max discount quantity as 1.
So when I add 3 qty of either same item or different item from this category a discount of 100 % will be applied for the cheapest item on the cart.



Applying the discount on POS frontend



When required quantity of item is added to the cart from selected category the discount will be applied to the cheapest item on cart.

For example, in the below image when 3 qty of item added from breakfast cereal a discount of 100% applied to the cheapest item on the cart (which is Fruit Loops)



Loyalty Point Expiry



This option enables merchants to set an expiry time for the loyalty points attained by customer which in turn assist on getting the customer to redeem the points within the expiry period.

How to set Loyalty Expiry?



Step 1: Enable Loyalty Point Expiration


Navigation: POS Admin (Backend) → Accounts & Settings → Admin Settings → Enable Loyalty Point Expiration



Step 2: Add Expiry Period


Navigation: POS Admin (Backend) → Loyalty Management → Edit → Expire In Days

Enter the Expire In Days and Save

For Example, if the expire in days is provided as 10 then the loyalty points attained will be expired in next 10 days and customer needs to redeem it within the time period.



Note: Expiration will be applied for the new loyalty point acquired after enabling this option for the old points it will not be applied

Print QR Code in Receipt Footer



We have included provision to add QR Code in receipt Footer. This feature allows you to scan the QR code to instantly access your Payment link, Store website link etc.,

Note: Only applicable for Windows complete/Android complete



Please follow the below steps to generate,



Navigation: POS Admin (Backend) → Accounts & Settings → POS Settings → Print Footer Message QR

Step 2: Enter QR Message




Step 3: In the POS system, select "Force Sync" to update the changes. Try test sale and check print out.








Daily Low Stock Alert Mail



This feature sends a daily email listing of all items with low stock levels across stores/locations. The email helps managers/Owner to stay updated on inventory levels and take action to restock before it runs out.

How to set up low stock alert mail?



To receive low stock alert mail, enter a valid email address in the Low Stock Alert Email field. This email address will receive daily updates on items with low stock levels, allowing you to stay informed. Set Low stock alert timings to receive mail at appropriate time.

Navigation: POS Admin (Backend) → Accounts & Settings → Admin setting → Low Stock Alert Emails

Note: Daily Low stock Alert mail (Advance Inventory) is an addon feature
