Release Notes - 30 December 2024

We are excited to announce that we have implemented new features and made improvements to existing ones in our PosBytz software. This release includes a number of new features, improvements, and bug fixes, all designed to enhance your experience with our application.

Here are the highlights of the new features:

POS & Backend

Print Invoice number as barcode in A4 Invoices.

POS & Backend

Print Invoice number as barcode in A4 Invoice :

We have implement a feature that allows the invoice number to be displayed as a barcode in all available A4 invoice formats. This enhancement facilitates quick and accurate scanning of invoices, improving operational efficiency.

Use the following navigation to enable this feature,

POS Backend --> Accounts & Settings ---> Admin Settings ----> Print Invoice Number as Barcode

New A4 Invoice template

The new A4 invoice template (Template 3) is accessible for downloading from both backend and the POS. It ensures a standardized format for professional invoicing and offering convenience to your business.

To enable the new template:

Navigate to Backend > Account & Settings > POS Settings.
Select Invoice Template as Template 3.

POS

Date and shift code filter in shift summary report

Users can now filter the report based on:

Date: Select specific dates to view shift-related transactions and summaries for a particular day or date range.
Shift Code: Enable users to filter sales data by shift code for specific shift analysis.

Use the following navigation to enable this feature,

POS Billing --> Reports -> Filter --> Date and Shift Code

Note : Available in PosBytz iOS Billing app version 2.7.0 (v1) (1) and above.

Accounting

Provision to group Inventory Audit entries in accounting

Previously, inventory audit entries were recorded under default COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) account in accounting. With this update, you can map inventory audit entries to a dedicated account, allowing them to be directly recorded in the assigned account for improved tracking and organization.

Navigation: Backend ----> Accounting ----> Account Mapping ----> Create Account Mapping ----> Select Inventory Audit in Type.

Waiter App

Displaying employee name in waiter app settings

In the latest waiter App update (version 2.0.1), a provision has been added to display the employee's name in the app settings.

Navigate to Settings in the Waiter App, and the employee name will be shown at the top.

This functionality is available only for waiter app versions integrated with Android POS billing version 2.0.1.

KDS App

Provision to display Alternate Item name in KDS

We have included provision to display the alternate name of the items in the Kitchen Display System (KDS).

Note : This feature is supported on KDS versions 2.2.0 and above

Use the following navigation to enable this feature,

KDS --> Layout --> Show Alternate Language
