Release Notes - 9 May 2023

We are excited to announce that we have implemented new features and made improvements to existing ones in our PosBytz Software. This release includes a number of new features, improvements and bug fixes, all designed to enhance your experience with our application. Here are the highlights of the new features:

1. Item On/Off feature in POS

This new feature allows you to easily turn on / off items listed on your online store directly from the POS Frontend. You can find this feature under the SETTINGS -> Online Platform tab, where you can filter items by search or by category.

2. Keyboard shortcuts

We have revamped our existing keyboard shortcut accessibility and have extended keyboard support to even more places throughout the app. Now you can use the Alt + [Associated Key] to run a specific action.

For eg. Alt + 1 will open SELL tab, Alt + S will focus on the search box etc.

We have also added a setting to show / hide keyboard shortcut next to the associated action. Please refer SETTINGS -> Keyboard section to see the full list of supported shortcuts.

3. Credit Summary in reports

We have added a credit summary to the reports tab, which was previously only available on the shift summary receipt. This feature will allow you to view the credit summary in the reports tab itself.

4. Device name on KOT receipt

We now display the KOT device name on every KOT (Kitchen Order Ticket) receipt printed. This feature will be useful to identify the device / kitchen associated with the KOT.

5. Create category in the POS

We've added support for creating a new category on the go while creating an item. The category dropdown now accepts free text which will be created as a new category.

Bug fixes

We have fixed several bugs in this release, including:

• Incorrect credit amount in payment methods report.
• Incorrect loyalty points calculation on refunds.
• Incorrect cart calculation while applying the item level discount and loyalty discount together.
• Payment methods report mismatch on frontend and backend.
• Incorrect validation message while paying order outstanding amount.
• Order not syncing after editing the order from sales tab.
• Duplicate invoice numbers.
• Custom barcode not working for items with unit measure type volume.
